I recently attended a Chicago City Hall styled photoshoot to brush up on my posing prompts and photography skills before this year's 2026 wedding season. I had the opportunity to meet other talented photographers and get creative during this long winter slump. As the second styled shoot that I've attended, I didn't really know what to expect, but I was eager to photograph a beautiful real-life couple, Sarah and Liam, and to practice shooting in low-light environments again. The simple yet elegant floral bouquet created by the talented Plum and Peony Floral was also the perfect touch!
The City Hall building offers beautiful architecture, details, staircases, dramatic lighting, and a fun vibe that are the perfect backdrop for couples' civil ceremonies. Although it can get busy, there are plenty of photo spots for newly married couples. For recently engaged Chicago or northern Illinois couples looking to get married or do a civil ceremony at Chicago City Hall, please don't hesitate to reach out!
